The Traffic Accident Reconstruction Origin -ARnews-

I'm looking at a case where the time from button to green walk is between 56 - 76 seconds, even with no cross traffic on any of the detectors. The cross traffic flow is from no traffic to moderate. The timing doesn't even change if vehicle approach on the same street as the pedestrian. Does anyone know of any pedestrian studies that would give some acceptable ranges or designed values a pedestrian will wait before either just walking across or waiting and then thinking something like "The button must not be working" and go across against a red signal and Don't Walk sign. If a study can't be found I may have to do the study myself. Thanks for any assistance in this matter.
