Doug,

With the stiffer body, the crush time will be less, yielding a larger acceleration. Also, why accept the word of the Nissan driver that he was going 65 mph? A higher pre-impact speed means a larger delta-v for both vehicles. Also, what is the structure of the Ford seat? I have read (in Damask's books) about some seat backs containing stiff steel without a lot of padding between the steel and the driver. This would lead to a larger driver acceleration than if there is a "softer" seat.
