All of these are good suggestions ... especially regarding small business
education. I come from the engineering side of this field and when I went
out on my own, I contacted my local economic developement commission and
inquired about any "new business grants and/or programs" avilable to me.
Since I was starting a business that was unique to my area, I qualified to
receive unemployment benifits for up to a year, while I could still earn
money through my business that did not affect my government cheque.

I live in Canada so I am not aware of similar program in the US, but I am
sure there is something that is available to you ... it doesn't hurt to
call and find out.... Good Luck !!
