Larry:

I too use information from Automotive News, but I usually get the specifications data
from the local library. Most libraries have a subscription to Magazines on
Microfiche from Univ. Microfilm. Auto News in the October time frame (which is usually released
in January/February of the following year on microfiche), contains a section
called 'Insight". This section has the basic specifications for all passenger
vehicles in the upcoming model year. Automotive News also published the light
truck specifications around the same time (although not the same issue).

For 10-25 cents a page, I can 'print' out the specs and put them in a 3-ring
binder for reference. Because of the page size of automotive news, you have
to print the upper and lower half separately and then tape them together.

Still for a couple of bucks in change, you can get all the data.
