The follow information appeared in the CAHP APB, March 1998 edition, page 18:


As of the December 10th MVAB meeting date, Chief McCarthy reported BMW testing has exposed a high-speed wobble. BMW has insisted their motorcycle has no wobble and they will send factory riders to our Academy to test the motorcycle fully CHP equipped. Should the problem persist, we will be faced with a serious problem.
