Looking for help on an accident where a loaded tractor trailer with an approximate total weight of 67,231 lbs was stopped on an interstate in New Jersey. While stopped, the TT was rearended by a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. The estimated speed of the Jeep was between 50 and 70 mph. Jeep operator, who was apparently intoxicated, was killed and possibly a passenger as well. The TT operator is now claiming serious back injuries as a result of being bumped around in the cab of the TT during the accident. Can anyone point me in a direction to obtain any information, or research material regarding the dissipation of enegy in this type accident. I have been involved in accident reconstruction for 19 years but never came across this type before. I guess living in Northern Maine kept me in the dark. Thanks for any suggestions or help.
