I work for the Waco Police Department in Texas. The city allows me to conduct my own business on my off duty time; however I can not accept civil cases that our department has investigated unless there is no liability towards our city. Each case has to be addressed individualy. Criminal cases I can not touch with in the city limits. The department even gets funny if it is within our county.
