I've always used Design Cad. I got started with it for 49.99 way back when. It now goes for 99.99. It has all the fetures of AutoCad without the price. It is a great product.

I recently stumbled across VISIO. I comes in two versions Visio 4.0 and Visio Technical. The technical is a full blown CAD and runs 299.99. Visio is 139.99 and offers a LEO/Insurance add on. This add on has ready made templates for crash diagraming. It's drag-n-drop ease of use makes it a wonderful product. I offers scales 1/10 1/20 1/30 and 1/40. It has many templates and is easy to use. These are WINDOWS programs and function in Win3.1 and Win95.
I can create diagrams in the time it took me to use a template and it looks much more proffesional.
