There are studies contact me at my e-mail address and I'll be happy to share them with you many bicycle enthusiasts will know their cadence (particularly professinal and semi-professional types) because they are most efficient at those revolutions. They adjust their gearing accordingly. I do have typical cadence studies for various age groups and experioence let me know what you are interested in and if there are any peculiarities to the rider behavior.
