I have made a drag sled that I have found to easy to use handy enough to carry with me on my shift and accurate. I simply used a 7.62 NATO (.308) ammo can that I filled with melted wheel weights. Inside the can I've put a spring scale 50 and 100 ft. tapes chalk etc. The drag sled was tested at the California Highway Patrol Academy during aa Advanced Accident Investigation class and was found to be very accurate. The total dollar amount that I have invested in this sled is less than $50.00 including a very accurate scale. The tire section is attached to the bottom of the sled and is fairly flat. The sled doesn't wobble or tip as it is pulled along and doubles as a go box

Good Luck
