Example: Two(2) 1968(at least had steel) cars are produced and come off of the assembly line one after the other. One goes to Phoenix Arizona where it spends its entire life the other goes to Miami Florida where it also spends
its entire life.
One the same day at the same time and all speeds are the same-both vehicles are involved in an accident. Which one will have the stiffer metal and if crush is utilized to formulate speed estimates which one would be assumed to have been involved in a higher speed accident--the one in Florida right-right the reason the stiffness value of the metal is less because of nature acting upon the metal. A further complication is that today we are using less and less metal in motor vehicles.
