First replace the air bag. I am surprised that a reputable repair facility would let it go out
the door without having it replaced. Air Bags are not reloadable they must be replaced.
Additionally I'm almost certain that it would be a violation of federal regulations to
not replace the bag. There are minor injuries almost always associated with Air Bag deployment.
You have the option of black eyes and arm scrapes or death. I'll take the former.
There are limitations on placements of child seats in the front of vehicles with SRS
Air Bag systems. Put the kids in the back they say.
Have a great day.
