The article you are probably referring to is entitled
"Acceleration Perturbations of Daily Living". It appeared
in SPINE which is a perodical for the medical profession.
The author is Murray E. Allen, M.D., et al.
It is in volume 19, number 11, pp 1285-1290.
You should be able to locate it most university libraries.
