I currently use the Nikon D-50 Total Station Instrument for Data Collection.
The field data is collected to the TDS Easy Survey Mapping Software. Once
downloaded, the data is converted into a "DXF" format. This is very similar
to the SOKKIA, AIMS, and other third party mapping software.
Having taught the Computerized Collision Diagramming course for IPTM since
1993, we find that AutoSketch Windows Release 2.1 will do everything that
you need. With over 10,000 drawing hours, I have found there is little you
cannot do with AutoSketch.
The program is user friendly and easy to catch on to. BEST OF ALL, the
"Price is Right!" At about $100 US, this is certainly worth a look. You
will quickly see that the other responses are right on the money!
If I can help you in any way, please drop me a line.
