Thanks for your responses. I'd like to clear something up, are you saying it is IMPROPER or IMPOSSIBLE to reasonably approximate the energy absorbed during this spinning motion other than using a scheme such as a higher order numerical method differential equation?

For those interested: A Runge-Kutta form of numerical method is a differential equation. This form is a particular set of self-starting numerical methods. The advantage they have over some other methods is that they solve initial value problems because they converge quickly and are easy to program.
