As I referred another inquiry, analysis of the VIN number will only show what
motor and the assembly plant among other items. Color, equipment installed
by the factory is not found in the VIN plate but on other plates within the
engine compartment or in the passenger cabin of the car.

Since the Olds 442 was a hi-performance machine, there are undoubtly many
books written on the subject of this vehicle during it's production run.

or give a call to Classic Motor Books at 1-800-826-6600 and ask them to
