The tread is needed to pump the water out from under teh tyres. So, there is difference between the friction coefficent on wet and dry surface. Once I have heard the opinion that different tires on wheels of the same axle affects significant difference of breaking effectivity or susceptibility of vehicle to go into skid. I have always supposed that influence of different tread relief on dry surface is not significant and couldn't be the reason of skid. Need some info about this problem - maybe other opinions? Tks.
