Just a caveat on where ped articles end up. These were tests with dummies which are rigid and only appear to look like humans. We must be careful not to attach to many human properties to dummies. For example, the dummy has no ears to hold the glasses on, and a human would wrap around the front profile of the car, rather than bending around it. The cap and glasses can be used, in lieu of no other on-scene observations, to calulate a minimum speed (since these items are not likely to fly in opposite direction of vehicle).
