There is an SAE paper, 910123, by Limpert and Andrews entitled "Linear and
Rotational Momentum for Computing Impact Speeds in Two-Car Collisions (LARM).
This paper discusses the underlying equations used in the analysis with some
comparisons with crash and limitations of the model.

This paper is included in Accident Reconstruction: Technology and Animation
SP-853 from SAE. I don't know anything about the LARM2 software though.
