While waiting in traffic with a 1999 Ford Pickup in part, the truck suddendly accelerated without warning and struck a vehicle 6 feet in front of it. At that time the truck stopped with the back wheels continued spinning leaving skid marks on the pavement. The driver of the truck attempted to brake prior to striking the vehicle in front of him. The truck kept jumping forward even through the male driver hit brakes hard and is a brawny man who applied a lot of pressure. When it had stopped, when striking the vehicle he put the truck in park. The engine continued to race. He then turned the ignition off. The truck is a V10 with posi-traction. Any ideas on what is going on here?
