Javier: A good source for the "Coefficients of Friction of Various Roadway Surfaces" is contained in the Traffic Accident Reconstruction book by Lynn B. Fricke @ Northwestern University Traffic Institute. The book has a good table for various road surfaces, both dry and wet, and for speeds less than 30 MPH and greater than 30 MPH (see page 62-14 in the 1990 volume). This table shows that the coefficient of friction for wet asphalt varies from 0.25 to 0.75, depending upon the age, traffic usage and tar content of the asphalt.
