Paul,

If you say that there was no braking by any of the involved vehicles, how did you determine any of the post-impact speeds?

How did you determine the ke that you multiplied by 64.4 and square-rooted? Typically, post-impact speeds are determined by skid to stop, then momentum conservation is applied to the collision to determine pre-impact speed, and ke is not a player.

If you do use a kinetic energy approach, you need to include the amount of energy lost to crush to include in the original kinetic energy.
