I'm working a m/c fatal involving a 1982 Yamaha RS that was struck on the left side (9:00 o'clock) by a 1990 Cadillac Sedan De Ville (12:00 o'clock) position. Impact speed by the Cadillac at the time was estimated at 18-21 miles per hour. . The Cadillac had started up from a stopped position (or so she said) and made a left turn in the m/c as it was travelling south in the middle lane of three lanes of travel. My concern when crunching the numbers was the weight differential between the involved vehicles and operators (estimated for the M/C was 700 lbs and estimated for the Cadillac was 3800 lbs) when applied to the conservation of momentum formula. Hopefully, your m/c crash results will be published in the ARJ. I look forward to your findings and conclusions.
