Lateral Acceleration

Looking for lateral acceleration resources. I need a recommended lateral acceleration factor for a 1994 Mustang GT where the driver is swerving to avoid a collision. I have found literature recommending no more than 0.3g for a lane change, but feel a swerve would be higher.
