Different Restraint Systems

I am working on a possible restraint failure case resulting in a fatal injury. Does anyone have any data on the different types of restaint activators (the internal device) that make or allow the passive systems to lock when needed? I am also wondering if there are any private laboratories that could examine the internal device and tell if it functions properly? Kim Fowler Fowler Investigations
