Victims: 4 girls walking south on west side of road. Formation: 1,2,3-
single file next to curb, 4 is east of 2. Victim #1, fatality. Perpetrator:
DWI, 1987 Ext. Cab, Toyota pickup, traveling south. (same lane as girls.)
speed? Surviving victims say aproach approximately 45 mph; may have slowed
turn towards curb.

Victim #4 is sideswiped; thrown into #2; both thrown approximately 10'west
or southwest, into bushes. #4 mild concussion, bruises, shock.

Victim #1 is hit, picked up onto hood, dropped approximately 100' further
south. #1 abrasions, deep bruises, fractures base of skull, some internal
injuries. No damage to face. Victim # 1, 18 yr old girl, lifestarred to
hospital. Does not survive injuries.

Description Victim #1: Ht 62" wt 130 lbs. Tears on back of her jeans may
indicate she caught on something.

Truck has dent on hood, broken passenger head lamp, damage to same bumper. Headlamp debris spray concentration begins approximately 40' from first impact to approximately 120' facing SE. Police reconstruction: perpetrator drifts to curb (15-20 mph), victim#1 hits head on hood (dent,) rolls to stop, #1 falls off. Autopsy of brain: Impact of brain to front of skull; skull did not hit hood; skull hit staionary object. Attending Neurosurgeon: Skull impact not on hood because no neck injury and too low on skull.
Witness: Truck stopped, continued, stopped again. (victim not run over.) Truck sat, then backed up. Victim #1 found on her back, head facing south, no disray. Private reconstruction of truck: 'fender vault', overlap only about 12" from right front fender corner, no head web or skull depression, body wrapped off front right fender. Concerns: Perpetrator involved in another death with same head injury. Any help much appreciated.
